[DeepL:] The KiTa Allerhand is a place of living and learning for children as well as a pioneer in terms of joint care and education of hearing and deaf children in the elementary sector. The pedagogical work is oriented according to the Berlin educational program and follows a fundamental inclusive thought. Depending on the needs, the wishes, the individual development and the characteristics of each child, it is creatively and respectfully accompanied and supported, whereby the educators take on the role of a partner of the parents in the education of the child.
A barrier-free access to and in the KiTa was created, taking into account the Index for Inclusion. Thus, the KiTa ensures barrier-free communication between deaf children and educators and hearing children and educators as a first goal. It promotes the use of German Sign Language (DGS) to create social networks within and outside the deaf community. Thereby it is possible to learn German Sign Language playfully and naturally in the day care center and to internalize a basic language ( DGS/ spoken language ) for all learning and socialization processes. Through inclusive early childhood education and upbringing, the educators ensure the basis for equal opportunities and openness in society and thereby enable the equal participation of people with different needs.
